Taylor Heinicke QB WFT (4 years / $8M)
Kansas City receives:
Elijah Mitchell RB SF (3 years / $1M; RFA)
Javon Hargrave DT PHI (2 years / $2.5M)
Lions accept. With Fitzpatrick out for 6-8 weeks the Lions needed to find a starting QB; Heinicke, while likely not our long-term solution, made the most sense given the QB landscape in this league. Detroit may come to regret giving up Mitchell, but believe this is a fair price to pay for a starting QB.
